An example of how McDonald's marketed the Big Mac when it was first released.
When McDonald's first released the Big Mac sandwich, promotional buttons were issued to crew members, who wore them on their uniforms while they worked.
Background note: until very recently (December 2024), this image was part of the Wikipedia Big Mac page; however, in late December, the Wikideletionists decreed that displaying this image on the Big Mac page was a copyright violation. In deleting the image, the Wikideletionists admitted that the use of the image of this button was the same as the use of album covers on Wikipedia pages about music albums; however, having declared it to be a violation they were unable to admit that they had been wrong and back-off. So, I've posted it here so that it remains publicly available in the hope that some day another person will take a run at posting it to the Big Mac page.
